Biography
Katherine is a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center. During law school, she served as a Judicial Intern to The Honorable Alan D Albright, U.S. District Court, Western District of Texas. She also worked as a Research Assistant to UHLC Professor Denney L. Wright and completed two summer and one spring internship at three esteemed local firms. These opportunities helped her gain experience across a wide variety of practice areas.
Katherine also served as the Chief Notes & Comments Editor, Board 23 for the Houston Business & Tax Law Journal and published her article in the Journal's Volume XXIII, Issue 2, 2023. Her performance in law school earned her the LEX Award in Lawyering Skills & Strategies, an award of recognition for the highest grade in the class.
Prior to law school and upon graduating with her undergraduate degree, Katherine taught 8th-grade Algebra I at a Title I college preparatory charter school for two years. She became interested in pursuing a career in law after taking Business Law during her last semester at TCU and was able to study for the LSAT during her second year of teaching. Katherine's natural propensity to mentor others led her to participate in the UHLC 1L Peer Mentor Program.
